Hi all,

 

I'm having trouble with my HP Chromebook 13 G1 (M7). The original battery was only giving me about 90 mins of power, so I bought a replacement battery.

Swapping out the batteries was easy enough, but with the new battery plugged in, the charging LED just flashes and flashes, but I cannot turn on the device.  Looking at the docs online, this sort of flashing might demonstrate a battery in shipping mode, but I cannot seem to get anything else despite leaving it plugged in (via USB-C charging) for hours.

I've tried unplugging the battery and holding down the power button for 30 secs before plugging it back in, but the same problem occurs.

Any help on what I'm missing would be great.
