Hi!
I've managed to set a bios password I can no longer remember. I've attemted to reset CMOS (Which as noted multiple times, doesn't usually succeed as well on laptops as it does desktops, due to stronger security.) I've also called HP support, which told me there's no way around sending the computer into a workshop for them to fix it there.
I figure I'd ask to be sure I've exhausted all options. Is there a way to reset the BIOS password on this product line? The BIOS produces no halt code (As I've seen in previous example in this forum has been helpful in similar situations.) it only prompts me to try HP sparekey (Which I didn't enroll) and gives me a headup on my computers serial number.
If anyone happens to be able to help, that'd be super awesome.
Thanks in advance!
