HP Laptop
After updating my HP laptop to Windows 11, it frequently freezes and displays the following pop-up message:
"Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart." After this message, the device attempts to update to 100% and then shuts down. This morning, it failed to update, remained at 0%, and the laptop froze.

At the bottom, the pop-up screen would show this error message, "Stop code: WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR (0x124)

Please assist!

your stated error code of 124

indicates that *a fatal hardware error has occurred

and is typically related to physical hardware failures.

It can be heat related or a result of defective hardware, memory, or even a processor

was your laptop approved for windows 11? you failed to give it's model number in your post

all i can recommend is trying  a clean OS install of win 11

either by the HP cloud recovery restore image (if available for your model)

or by downloading win 11 from microsoft and then manually installing the nessary drivers from the HP driver page for you model system
