Hi @mprayagraj ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the error you're encountering, "Fatal error occurred processing the restoration data," related to the hiberfil.sys file, usually points to an issue with the hibernation file used by Windows to save the state of your system when it enters hibernation. The error code 0xc0000719 suggests that the hibernation file might be corrupted or there was an issue reading it during startup.

Here are some steps you can take to address and prevent this issue in the future:

1. Disable and Re-enable Hibernation

Disabling and then re-enabling hibernation can clear any corruption in the hiberfil.sys file.

Open Command Prompt as Administrator:

  • Press Win + X and select "Command Prompt (Admin)" or "Windows PowerShell (Admin)".

Disable Hibernation:powercfg -h off

Re-enable Hibernation: powercfg -h on

2. Run a Disk Check

A disk check can help identify and fix any file system errors that might be causing the issue.

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  2. Run the following command: chkdsk /f /r
  3. You may need to schedule the disk check to run at the next restart. Follow the prompts and restart your computer.

3. Update Drivers and Windows

Outdated drivers or system files can cause various issues, including problems with hibernation.

Update Windows:

  • Go to Settings (Win + I) > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for updates.

Update Drivers:

  • Go to the HP support website, download, and install the latest drivers for your OMEN by HP 16.1 Inch Gaming Laptop (63B17AV).
  • You can also use Device Manager to update individual drivers:
    • Press Win + X and select "Device Manager".
    • Right-click on each device, select "Update driver", and follow the prompts.

4. Check System Integrity

Using the System File Checker (SFC) and Deployment Imaging Service and Management Tool (DISM) can help repair any corrupted system files.

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  2. Run the SFC scan: sfc /scannow
  3. Run the DISM tool to repair the system image: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

5. Verify Event Logs

Windows Event Viewer can provide more information on what might have caused the error.

  1. Press Win + X and select "Event Viewer".
  2. Check under "Windows Logs" > "System" for any critical or error messages around the time of the issue.

6. BIOS/UEFI Update

Updating the BIOS/UEFI can sometimes resolve underlying issues.

  1. Visit the HP support website, find the latest BIOS/UEFI for your specific model, and follow the provided instructions to update.

Preventive Measures

  • Ensure your laptop has adequate ventilation to prevent overheating.
  • Regularly update your operating system and drivers.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks like disk cleanup and defragmentation.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
