My fan on my notebook has been loud lately so I decided to clean it. I watched YouTube videos on how to take the notebook apart to get to the fan to clean it properly. After I finished putting it back together the notebook will not boot. The screen stays black and it beeps loud 3 times in a set of 3 and the caps button blinks 3 times continuously. What could this be? And is there something I should have done after putting the notebook back together after cleaning the inside components?

Hey There! @Fallon4621, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Are you able to boot into BIOS?

Please share the product number of the PC to assist you better.

Three blinks on the caps lock indicate memory module failure or the memory slot could have failed on the PC.

Try reseating the memory on the PC and try with a single memory on each slot and check the faulty memory.

If you are able to boot into the BIOS try the steps recommended below.

1.    Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
2.    Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
3.    On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
4.    Press F10 to Save and Exit.
5.    Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
6.    Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Also, try running a system diagnostics test on your PC and check if the hardware components on your PC are working fine.
