Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

 

When I click shutdown on My laptop nothing happens. I am able to shut down from the password screen only. The time it takes for the laptop to boot up has also increased significantly. I had this issue when I first purchased it a couple of years ago. It could not shut down as designed and the boot time was long. HP support took over remotely and fixed the issue. My warranty has since expired. 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Where did you click ? Is it from right click Start icon ? You can use the following setup to Shutdown or Restart your machine

I put 2 buttons on Taskbar as shown

I only need 1 click to shutdown or restart my machine
