Hi @Technico5353,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out. I know how concerning it is when your laptop suddenly won’t power on. Let’s walk through this together step-by-step to see if we can bring your HP 15s dy3001tu back to life.

1. Check the Power Adapter

  • Plug the AC adapter directly into a wall socket (no surge protector).
  • Confirm the power LED on the charger is lit.
  • Inspect the charging port for any dust, damage, or looseness.

2. Hard Reset (Power Drain)

This helps in cases where the system is stuck in a low-power or failed state.

  • Disconnect everything: charger, USB devices, etc.
  • Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.
  • Release, then reconnect the charger only, and try powering on again.

3. Look for Signs of Life

  • Any keyboard backlight blink, charging LED, or fan spin?
  • If the power light blinks once, note how many times it flashes — it may be a diagnostic code.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
