HP Elitebook 840 G5
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP EliteBook 840 G5 suddenly failed to start yesterday. The CAPS LOCK has a steady glow. Occasionally the CAPS LOCK shine goes off (typically after reseating the RAM) the fan starts och the LEDs go on but but the screen remains black for most of the time. However, on a few occasions the screen comes on and it boots alright. Only to go back to the no-start state when restarted/turned off. I have tried hard resets, external screen (HDMI), alternative cables, decoupled the battery and reseated the RAMs but to no avail.  I can’t find more ideas on the web. Any clues?
