After todays update to Windows 10 Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.64) I get the following on bootup:

"This app can't run on this PC" - HP Accelerometer

I have tried SP81142 and SP78033 to no avail. Please advise.

BH, SP82228 DID NOT clear the issue. Perhaps HP will need to re-cut the 3D DriveGuard driver. The current version I just installed is 6.0.44.1.

I had done an uninstall / reboot / install / reboot each time yesterday for three different versions of the Softpaq. The latest being SP82228. Will have to wait until HP re-cuts the driver and issues a new Softpaq. Apparently they have been doing this frequently with this driver.

Hi,

My suggestion: wait for MS or HP to fix this. 3D, Sounds, video, wireless, printer may suddenly die due to Windows or Apple OS'es updates. We have to live with this.

I mentioned many times on this forum: Microsoft, Apple need to work out with hardware vendors (including HP) before release new OS updates. But could be due to trade secret they won't do that therefore we, yes you and me, have to suffer.

Regards.

Has anyone received a time frame as to when HP is going to release an updated HP 3D DriveGuard driver?

It appears that this SoftPaq (sp82755) only prevents the DriveGuard driver from loading. Read the install.cmd file  and then the resulting log.txt file. No apparant fixed driver is included or installed in the package.
