HP Elitebook 840 G6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Elitebook 840 G6 Not recognising my password even though it's right!

When I try logging in using my pin or fingerprint (Windows Hello). It tells me: "Your password was changed on a different device. You must sign  in to this device once with your new password, and then you can sign in with your pin". I did change my microsoft password, but only for one reason: because my lockscreen wasn't recognising my password ("incorrect password"). I know that my password is 100% correct and it's still not recognising. I tried using on screen keyboard too. Nothing helps.

My operating system is Windows 10.

You guys loaded this machine with so much unnecessary security, that it got caught up in its own mess. Please help.

@Djabrail06

This happens because you have Windows set to synchronize devices -- which I've found to be so problematic that I have disabled it entirely.

Here's a thread about that:  https://winaero.com/turn-on-off-sync-settings-windows-10/
