Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

i am on Windows 10 64bit

BIOS

I have activated Wake on WLAN option in BIOS.

Also i have activated in Intel Wireless-AC 8265 Wifi Card following options

Also here 2 options enabled

It wakes perfectly on if i send a magic packet. But then in 1-20 minutes it turns on also if i do not send any wol signal, just by itself. If i turn these options off, it do not turn on by itself.

What have i done wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks!

(1) Check HP software and drivers if you are running the latest bios version

(2) Update intel wireless driver:

(3) Reboot and test again ...

But you did not write this, so this is always the first step...

(1) Only enable [x] Wake on Magic Packet
all other options [ ] Wake on ... should be disabled

(2) If (1) fails disable all except [x] Wake on Pattern Match

try again ...

Sorry, did not wrote, but tried also all available combinations.

Well, then the problem is not solvable, sorry. Try loading the default settings in the BIOS again and re-enable the wake settings, if it still doesn't work properly then there is probably a technical problem or a bug in the BIOS.

If nothing will help and it is the technical problem or a bug in the BIOS, will hp fix it?

Thanks a lot!

I can't answer that. If your device is out of warranty, it will be difficult to solve. You might be better off testing another (new) model and if this works 100% then use this device.

In all cases thanks a lot for fast reply and ready to help!!!
