The light on the AC power slot isn't turning on, but I know it's getting power because the F12 and two red LED lights turn off when I unplug the AC power.
Thank you for your help!

You've done a remarkable job replying with the explicit details as requested earlier, great work 🙂
That said, I'm afraid, going by your description this looks like it's either the charger port or the motherboard that's failed,
The best thing to do, is either Contact HP for hardware repair/replacement set up (Free of charge, if covered by an HP Warranty) or if you know the computer isn't covered within an HP Warranty, you may find the parts on the HP Parts surfer and order them online to replace them on your own using the HP Parts Store.
Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number to obtain a case along with the phone number.
They will be happy to assist you immediately.

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand the computer doesn't power on anymore, although, there are lights blinking at the power adapter,
To provide an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Does the light blink in a particular sequence? (Example: 3 blinks pause, 2 blinks and then 3 blinks again, etc..)
What is the product number of this computer? (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
Have you performed any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?
In the meantime, you perform the below steps:
If the computer does not start, the LED lights do not glow, and the display is black,
you can perform one or more of the following actions to resolve the no power issue:
(Click on the blue letters to get more details about each step)
- Examine the adapter and power cord for physical damage
- Test the power from the AC wall outlet to the notebook connector
- Start computer using the battery only
- Check that the lid switch moves freely
- When you have completed the troubleshooting steps covered in this document, there should be power available to the computer. When you press the power button, the LEDs should glow, and you should hear the sounds of the fan and the hard drive spinning.
- If the battery does not accept the charge or the notebook does not turn on without the AC adapter, contact HP to order a replacement battery.
- If the LEDs do not glow, and there are no other indicators of power being available to the computer, contact HP for technical assistance in troubleshooting a potential problem with the AC power connection or the system board.
- If the LEDs blink, or the computer beeps, but it does not start, go to HP Notebook PCs - Troubleshooting LED Blink Codes or Beep Codes During Startup or Boot.
- If the LEDs glow but the computer does not start on either battery or AC power, go to Troubleshooting Black Screen Displays with No Error Messages During Startup or Boot.
Eager to help,
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

The light in the adaptor does not blink. It seems to be on when power is flowing through it. The product number is: A9P60UA#ABA. I hqve unplugged AC power, removed battery, and helpd the power button and beats audio button for 10 seconds. Before that I did the same thing but only held the power button from 30 seconds. Afterwards I reinserted the battery, plugged back in AC power and there was no change.
I examined the power adaptor and found no damage and I tested the wall outlet using my phone, it works great. The computer won't turn on with battery or ac power, however with either one or both plugged in the F12 light persists (and the two red LED lights that I assume are the proximity sensor). And I'm sorry, I don know what the lid switch is. Oh, the power switch doesn't turn on the fans and I can't hear the hard dive spinning.
Thanks again! Hoping I can fix this!

Description: DC IN POWER CONNECTOR - Cable and bracket included) the other part I might need?
Thanks again!

Thank you for replying,
The DC power connection is referring to the adapter,
Although to be sure, I suggest you put the part number on google images and hit search.
The part numbers are universal and should show the images of the part associated with that number,
Therefore answering your concerns 😉
Keep me posted,
Good Luck.

My wife's laptop is an HP Envy 15t Touch Laptop bought two years ago earlier this month.
Model: W9C44AV
[edited]
Three weeks ago the display started displaying a greenish tint for about the lower quarter of the screen. I started looking for a new display to install when it stopped booting all together.
I opened it up to pull the battery to see if it would boot from just the power adapter. As soon as i saw the battery, i knew it was bad as it looked like pillows. For the time being, it worked fine on adapter power until I could get a new battery.
When the battery arrived, I installed it, but it wouldn't boot. I double checked the power from the adapter, and have 19.4 VDC. I left it connected overnight hoping it would charge a possibly low battery. The battery is charged to the supply voltage listed on it. It still wouldn't start, so i disconnected the battery. After numerous attempts, it started on just adapter power again. I checked both adapter and battery voltages, and all are within spec, but now it won't start at all.
The only light I have is the one on the side indicating that it sees adapter power. I can get no response from it.
At this point, I don't know if it's the motherboard, a bad power switch, or some other component that may have died.
I can change the motherboard with no problem if you can convince me that is the problem component.
