My HP 17 envy keep boot looping. I’ve tried using F2 to run diagnosis but it will begin to reloop during the diagnosis process. Any suggestions?

Hi@JLH0603,

Allow me to welcome you to the HP Support community! It is a great platform to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!

I see that you are having issues while booting your HP stream laptop. To assist you with the issue I need to know the product number/model number of the laptop. If unsure, please check: http://hp.care/2oPCMBG

First off, try to perform a hard reset on your PC. Follow the steps here: http://hp.care/2odKswy

If the issue persists, I would suggest you perform a hardware test on the PC to determine any hardware problem. Follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc to get the Startup menu. Now press F2 key.
  3. The HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu is displayed.
  4. Select the "Component test" and then select "Hard drive" from the list.
  5. Let me know if the test passes or not.
  6. If the test passes, perform an extensive system test as well.

Here are detailed steps: http://hp.care/2nxOalt

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
