Hello,
My HP Envy 15 laptop started having this an issue about 2 days ago. I was in class and it was plugged into power when suddenly the computer crashed. No warnings, no shut down screen. it just instantly turned off. Unfortunately, it is a few years old and the warranty expired in January this year. I had not done any hardware upgrades/changes it was completely out of nowhere. I then went home and plugged it in. There was no power charge light beside the power cord on the side of the laptop, however I came back 20 minutes later and there was a white charge light. I then powered it up and was on it for about 10 minutes before it crashed again. It is sitting on my desk now on charge. no lights on or anything and it won't turn on. I have tried turning it on just on battery power, I have tried just on ac power and none will work, Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Hey @Tardis40

I managed to run the battery checker and got a failed test.

Does thismean I need to buy a new Battery? How much will it cost? Where can I get one from?

Cheers,

Jason
