Hello.
I tried to upgrade My HP Envy X2. When I connected a USB cd-rom to boot from it have changed screen and restarted. The CD inside usb-drive was with Windows 10.
Now the problem is that I don't have any kind of boot options and even don't open more the system.
Have any idea what's happened and what to do???
Thanks is advance.

Welcome to the HP Forums!
This is a wonderful place to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.
I reviewed your post and understand that you are unable to boot from the Windows bootable CD.
I'll be glad to help you 🙂
In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.
- What is the exact issue you are facing with the computer?
- Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
- Are you trying to install a retail copy of Windows?
While you respond to that, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.
Recommended Precautions for Running a System Recovery:
- Back up your personal data (All files in the system will be erased during the system recovery)
- Only have your power cord, keyboard, mouse, and monitor (in case of desktop) and only power cord (in case of notebooks) attached during the system recovery. (If other devices (printers, cameras, Ethernet cable for internet connection, audio speakers’ cable, and dual display setup) are connected during the system recovery, the system recovery process may stop and fail)
- The link below will provide you with the step-by-step instructions on how to perform a system recovery on an HP PC.

Thanks for keeping us posted
It looks like you were interacting with The_Fossette, but he is out for the day. I'm KrazyToad & I'm at your service.
I see that you are getting the Hard drive 3F0 error.
The 3F0 error usually indicates it's a Hard drive issue. I suggest you run a Hard drive Diagnostic to confirm the Hardware functionality
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Hard drive
Based on the Test results you can contact our Phone Support to get the Hard drive replaced or get the USB Recovery Media if the Test pass
Please check your private message icon in the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile.
Next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope
Thank you 😀

I read your response. It is great to have you back. Thanks for responding. As @KrazyToad is out for the day, I am responding on his behalf.
The bios look normal. There is a UEFI Boot order. Try changing the Boot order to the external USB drive from this UEFI boot order.
If the issue continues, please follow instructions from the previous technician who sent you a private message for the next course of action.
Thanks and have a great week ahead.

It is great to have you back and your patience is greatly appreciated.
You need to enable secure boot to get the other boot options. As you have mentioned that you are getting a hard drive error on the computer that is the reason why hard drive is not showing in the boot options.
As there is no CD/DVD drive on your computer you are not seeing the CD/DVD boot option.
Hop that answers your question.
