My HP Envy laptop running Windows 11 is stuck in the HP loading screen with the little spinning disk below it spinning away.  It apparently has been like this for some time. I can't shut it down. I have disconnected it from the AC cord and have held the shutdown button forever to no avail.  Please advise.

I had the same problem where the Hp loading screen would just keep loading for hours on end without the power button turned on. But I’ve found a solution that worked for my Envy, what you want to do is hold down the power button for 15 seconds then after the screen shuts off wait for a few and press the power button back on. This will maybe work.
