Yes, unfortunately BIOS corruption is becoming an issue for UEFI systems and a very frequent reason for ending up with a bricked laptop.
There are but three ways to deal with it:
- The HP way: New motherboard. This makes sense if you're still with an active warranty -although there have been a few sporadic reports where HP service refused, due to the fact that the "user was responsible for the malfunction" by not performing the uefi upgrade correctly....
- The DIY way: Using a USB with the correct flashable bin, and one of the known keyboard combinations when powering on. However, depending on the severity of the firmware's corruption, it might not be possible to enter Crisis Recovery Mode at all......
- Last, but not least, the Chip Level engineer way: I've only used this method once, and actually the cost is pretty low. I had a Kabylake Probook's BIOS reprogrammed in my country for 75$/€. Most laptop BIOS chips are soldered on the mobo, so the technician removes it from the board, force-writes the correct bin with an external flasher/programmer, and then re-solders it in place.

Here is the repair procedure.
So, you have to connect this thing, which is the CH341A with the clamp addon, directly onto your motherboard chip, it's located on the hidden side so you have to remove it completely, make sure to remove everything except the heatsink and the CMOS battery.
Then you connect the device to the usb port and manually install the drivers through device manager. Then with a program called NeoProgrammer you have to detect the chip, if you plugged everything correctly it should detect it and you have to chose the right version from a list. Then you must download the bios files, once you launch the program select the option that allows you to save the files in a designated folder.
Pick this last part with a grain of salt, since i did some trial and error, but I think you can go directly like this: in NeoProgrammer open the file 08328.bin, then select Write IC and wait. Once its completed you can reassemble the laptop and it should work.
If it doesn't try also to check the "off protect" voice in the Write IC section, and erasing the chip before flashing, I don't think its necessary but this steps could help solve the problem
I fixed it according to this procedure. I deleted the chip and then I uploaded the file.
Then I uploaded BIOS F.72 from windows
