I just purchased a cheapie HP laptop (hp 14 dq1043cl) and for the life of me I cannot find on the internet how to get the thing to boot from USB. I have not been using PC's in a very long time. I have mostly Apple computers or Raspberry Pi.

Thanks

Hi:

Normally, to boot from a USB flash drive, you have it plugged into an available USB port.

Turn on or restart the PC.

Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu and from that, select the USB flash drive and press the Enter key.

The device may be labeled as a USB diskette on key/USB hard drive.
