HP Mini 1000 / M/n 1151NR
Microsoft Windows XP

I have a HP Mini 1000, model# 1151NR with bios password enabled.

I want to DISABLE the password.

I am able to enter my known password but it defaults me directly to Windows after entering.

When I begin by pressing F10 at the password screen and then entering my password, Bios does not recognize my password.

Instead, after entering the valid password 3x, I get:

Password check failed

Fatal Error . . . System Halted

CNU92644PL

Please send help.

@rrob5

Enter   e9lo7gvv2k

3rd letter lowercase L

4th letter lowercase O

Use that code to go into the BIOS.

Disable all passwords that are enabled.

If asked for the CURRENT password use that code.

If asked for NEW password just hit enter.

If asked to VERIFY password just hit enter.

Save and exit.
