My HP computer (pretty sure it is a notebook) will not turn on. I have it plugged in and charging and the light on the side is lit up so I know it is charging. I have tried taking everything out of the computer and holding down the power button to turn it on, but that has not worked.
I have held down the power button for about 30 seconds with just the cord plugged in to charge it. The battery was removed and it still remained a black screen. The laptop is relatively new as it was bought in October of 2017, so I am not sure why it is not turning on.
Any suggestions?

Hello @Kortneyp7
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting in the HP Support Community. Welcome onboard!
I am sorry for the issues you experience with your HP computer.
Please, review this HP official article about such issues you experience now. Follow the appropriate steps that fit your case to attempt to fix the issue on your own :

If you did try everything but nothing helped, I am afraid you will need to bring your computer (or ship it) to service - HP Authorized service center. If the computer is still under warranty, you will need to notify HP support first. If you are not sure where such a center is located, please contact HP support for assistance in finding one. Here is more info:

Hope this helps. Let me know if any issues.
