I was playing a game when my laptop suddenly appeared to turn off. The screen went black and the power button turned off, but it was still playing the game, the sound was coming through the speakers. I unplugged everything, unplugged the battery, and hard reset it multiple times. It still won't turn on. I even put back in the old sticks of RAM I replaced a month ago, and that didn't work. This is the second time this has happened, but I managed to get it to boot up the first time. Is there anything I can do?

This indicates a video problem, possibly overheating. Does your system run hot? Were you using a laptop cooler?
I looked at the spec for your system and there appears to be an error in the documentation. Regardless, your 16-wf0000 has a discrete graphics card. if the graphics card was damaged it can be replaced. This is just a guess. Take it to a shop recommended by HP and have them check it out. You might lookup the cost of a replacement RTX mobile card first. That plus labor might be more than a used laptop.

The following are the graphic options for your system. Since these are custom systems possibly it was ordered without an NVidia card. In that case there is nothing to replace except the motherboard.

wf000 is listed twice. there is wd0000 but the table above does not show it - probably an error
