Hey all,
My HP Omen 17 is less than a month old. I’ve come home to it powered off.
- when I plug the charger in, the charging LED blinks once and is orange.
- pressing the power button, with the charger plugged in results in the LED blinking once and is white.
When the charger is not plugged in, the LEf flashes 3 times and is white.
Pulling my hair out with this. The bottom has teeny screws on it, so can’t get to the batter, so I’m unsure if removing the battery will void my warranty.
Please help.

I suggest you perform a power drain. Since the Notebook has an internal battery please follow the instructions in this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01684768 to perform the power drain.

Good evening,
am am I correct in assuming a “power drain” and a “power reset” are the same thing?
The articke youve linked is for a power reset is why I ask.
As you say, my battery is a sealed battery, so I have no way of removing it.
ive disconnected it from all periferhals and the charger, held the power button as indicated, but this didn’t resolve the issue.
i couldn’t help noticing my HP model number wasn’t present on either of the power reset options for the guide you provided.
What would you suggest moving forward?

Power Drain and Power Reset are the same thing. 😉
Since this is a brand new Notebook less than a month old, I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
Thank you
