Hi,
I have an HP Pavilion 15-ab220tx and it has windows 10 home installed on it. It had been working fine till today is suddenly decided to stop working. It powers on and I can see the HP logo but after a bit of rotating circles the notebook shuts down. Sometimes it works till the log in screen and after putting the password, it shows that PC is locked due to wrong attempts or too many shut downs. After 2 sec it shuts down.
I believed that it was a display problem as I had seen a red static background behind HP logo before it shut down. Sometimes hortizontal static lines came and then the pc shut. I have attempted power reset and holding power button for 30 sec but nothing seems to work. I cannot boot into safe mode as the pc shuts midway. After several power resets it showed me a message that windows did not load correctly so I have a USB installation for windows 10 and I tried installing but before I could even begin, it shut down. I can get into BIOS just fine. Now I believe that it's the OS getting corrupted.
I have tried running the sfc /scannow command but pc shuts midway. Tried disk.exe, shuts midway. Please help me fast. I need the pc for important work that cannot wait.

Hi,
Thank you for replying. Unfortunately none of those worked for me. After opening the PC, I tried to boot the PC with the hard disk, the touchpad, keyboard and lights removed but to no effect. Only the motherboard, the daughter board and the power board were connected and when I turned it on, the led light would turn on and off again and again. When I put the PC together again, I could not even see the HP logo that would come for the bootup. I'm assuming a corrupt motherboard. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

How do I send a private message? Sorry I am new to this. Also I will be approaching some local service center from where I had the laptop serviced last time, so I will post whatever the problem was and what's the solution after it comes back from servicing.
