HP Pavilion G7-1365dx Notebook
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I was given an HP Pavilion G7 Notebook with bad battery and no AC adapter.

I have the AC adapter.  The light comes on beside the plugin.

When the on switch is pressed, nothing happens.

If I press f5 button, it will come on.

Unfortunately, the screen is in Spanish and wants a password.

The Start Menu will not open with any of the typical procedures.

I need to get out ot the Fn functions and/or how to bypass the password.  Again, the Startup Menu can't be opened.

We can NOT  help you with the password issue (more on that below) but once you get passed that, you should do an online search for information on downloading language packs as those will allow you to change the native language of your OS.

I'm really sorry that we can not help you with this, but Community policy prohibits us from assisting you in any way with bypassing or resetting passwords.

For BIOS or power-on password resets, read this HP thread: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06368824.

If you are not prepared to spend the money to get HP to replace the motherboard for BIOS password resets, you could take the PC to a local repair facility to see if they can do it for you -- but we are unable to assist in that.

For Admin password resets, you have to contact your regional HP Customer Support location directly for assistance.
