HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC TG01-1000a (2W848AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have been trying to update my pc but when ever I try to update via HP Support Assistant the update fails halfway through. And when I try to update it via a file it says the update is outdated despite it came out only a few months ago.

Hello Snootypeguin123, how are you ?

This depends on the version of Windows you have installed on your device.

Checking the drivers is only available for versions: 21H2 and 22H2

If your version is higher than these, I recommend waiting for future updates

I have been trying to update my bios to this version, https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/swdetails/hp-pavilion-gaming-desktop-pc-tg01-1000a/37921127/swI... and I am currently on windows 11

Hello,

Thanks for sending the link.

Here we have two situations,

1 - You need to confirm that the Windows version is compatible with the BIOS
2 - Check that the appropriate BIOS versions are not too far apart... Because its BIOS history is very complex and has many versions.

well the file is compatible with windows 11 so not a problem there, but i am updating from the version AMI F.22, 3/8/2022, which would make it a pretty big jump

Hello @snootypeguin123

What can be done as an alternative is to update from version to version. Until you reach the last one.
