HP Pavilion dv6308nr Notebook PC

I booted an Ubuntu CD on an HP Pavilion dv6308nr laptop. When I got out of it and tried to go back into the installed Windows, however, it displayed a blinking underscore. I held down the power button because it had gotten no progress when I left it on overnight. I turned it back on… and it never even POSTed. It just boot looped. So now what?

I fiddled with the RAM and WiFi card and removed the optical drive, CMOS battery, and SSD, and replaced them all, and now it's working so 👍😐
