HP Pavilion X2 10 N200L
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

Good morning everyone, A few days ago I wanted to turn on my HP Pavilion X2 10 after many years. Unfortunately I couldn't find the original charger. So I tried to use my USB-C phone charger. After a few minutes, however, an orange light flashed. So, searching on the internet, I did a bios reset with volume + - and the power button. But it didn't work. Does anyone have any ideas on how to bring it back working??

Hello,

While your HP Pavilion X2 10 uses USB-C for charging, not all USB-C chargers are created equal. Laptops, especially older ones, often require specific voltage and amperage from their power adapters. A phone charger might not supply enough power (under-volt/under-amp) or, less commonly, could supply incorrect power.    mybalancenow com

EDIT: Keep in mind that HP may not co sign what I'm saying, but it will work. Guaranteed.

Your HP PAVILION Detachable WILL indeed charge with an off brand USB-C charger but you MUST make sure that the device is turned OFF.  As long as you have a working charger, it'll charge when it's off. For sure. I just went through this. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the response. I bought the original charger a few days ago but unfortunately it continues to have this flashing orange light. I contacted HP and they told me that support is no longer available and that it could be a problem with the motherboard. Thanks everyone.
