My symptoms were the KBD stops functioning after a short amount of time after very cold booting. The mouse still works fine. I can't remember if the touchpad still worked. Based on my experience and many posts, this issue can only be solved by replacing the MB - Unless you can find the kbd decoder and are handy at replacing SMD parts. There is no problem with the KBD. Time for a new computer.
