Greeting you. I have HP Pavilion dv6-6c55sr. The main problem is that it randomly goes to sleep mode. Or it sometimes won`t even boot and shuts down in a few seconds. I have searched and looked in many topics and there are some answers like:
1. Looking at battery settings for sleep timeout
2. Turning Link State Power Management off
3. Updating BIOS
4. Updating Graphics Card
5. Downgrading chipset MEI to 9 or 10
and etc. But I think it won`t help. I have changed HDD. Sleeps and shut downs - were more times when HDD is in. But when I got to External, and internal is off, then it may work longer. However this problem is not solved for me, I want to know is there anybody who knows the this problem.
HP Pavilion dv6-6c55sr
BIOS Version: F. 13
Graphic drivers are up to date.

Thanking you for reply.
I see many people have the same problems. Either shut downs or goings to sleep. You can search for it. And you will find that more of them are HP users. I think those people as I need help in this. And this problem must be concerned as one of the main problems for HP company. What causes newly purchased laptops to have this type of problems. And directing people to understanding issues and concrete solutions for it. Because as much as I have used my time and searched many topics, more answer are usually formal. Nothing that solves the problem itself. Either it is hard to get online chat with one you can help. For example Microsoft is easy to get connected and to get a help from support online. And this is very helpful and useful.
I have get in the link you gived me. It directs me to the community support, nothing much I have founded.
Do you have ideas what is the main reasons?
I can answer questions about signs of problem.

Also I want to mention that, (I understood recently) that it acts like your are pressing power button, ie:
1. When Windows (OS) is booted if you press power button it will go to sleep mode.
2. While Windows is booting and if you press power button it will turn off.
My laptop`s problem is also like this. It goes to sleep while booted or it shuts down while booting (and of course - nobody presses power button).
This laptop was overheating because of dust filled on fan (by the way this is another problem of HP Pavilion Dv6-s). I think it may cause this problem. If it is, is there a hardware specialist who can suggest that in which detail the problem is/can be?
