HP Pavilion Laptop, I was working on battery, not realised power running down, it’s switched itself off. Plugged into power and won’t reboot. Either HP screen, or HP Screen saying automatic fix, but nothing happening. Tried hard reboot,  not working.

Checked systems appears to have passed. Booked in at repair shop Monday, but checking if there is anything else I can do?

Is the charging light on?  You did not mention your laptop but usually there is an LED to indicates the laptop is charging.

If the laptop has charged up try this twice:

Hold down the power button for a full 20 seconds.   Release then press the power button after 2 seconds.

else take to shop.
