Hi there, my laptop suddenly decided to stop booting up. The power light blinks once when I press the power button, but that's all. I don't hear any sounds, the screen doesn't come on, the fans don't come on... nothing!
I tried holding the power button down for 30 seconds, but that didn't work.
I tried taking the battery out and plugging the power adaptor in to get it started, but that didn't work either.
I saw someone else saying they had an issue with the CMOS battery, but I couldn't see the CMOS battery on this laptop?
Any ideas?
Kindest regards,
NP

Thanks Elohi_NR. Apologies for the delayed response - I was away on holiday.
Unfortunately, following the steps in your document did not help.
The other issue I have is that when trying to register this issue on the HP site, it asks for the serial number. However, when I enter the serial number of my laptop, it is not recognised?!
Can you send me the phone number here please, as I can't seem to be able to get through to support without providing the serial number.
I am UK based.
Thanks.
