- What you were doing & experienced
I was using my laptop as usual and it was working fine until Friday last week, I turned it off normally and put back in its case. Today at work tried to turn it on and only showed the "HP" logo at startup then restarted. At first I thought it was a dead battery or something like that, so I connected it to the adapter to try luck but laptop turns on, the HP logo comes up, then goes out , screen goes black then the HP logo comes up again..and the same thing over and over, I have done everything.
- Any error messages & details
No error messages
- Recent software or driver changes
Windows got updated just fine a few days before, but again no errors during update or something suspicious
- Your internet connection: LAN, VPN, or wireless
Laptop is connected through LAN and WiFi
What i've tried:
Disconnected any devices(USB, printers, DVDs) connected to my laptop.
Performed a power reset on the laptop but it just keep trying to boot, to be more specific i press the power button (i hold it for 30 secs) to perform a power reset, however it stops the boot loop but as soon as i stop pressing the power button laptop starts the boot loop again.
Disconnected the adapter, removed the battery (had to remove the back cover to remove the battery), held the power button for 30 seconds to drain the static on the computer, but it didn't work, so I tried resetting the BIOS by removing the battery CMOS and holding the power button for 30 seconds again and tested the CMOS battery, it says 3.1V, so I think the CMOS battery is not the problem.
Tried a BIOS Recovery but nothing happens when i try the key combinations (holding the Win + B key nor Win + V key). (hold these 2 keys for more than 10 seconds, let go of the power button alone)
