Hi!
My HP Probook 650 G1 does not booted from one day to the next!
1) Without power supply, the notebook is literally dead. No LEDs, no sounds, just nothing..
2) The notebook can not be switched on even with the power adapter supply in. However, the power switch and 2 Leds (white + orange) in the front are constantly blinking (once per sec). I have attached a photo...
=> Battery out, Ram out, HDD plugs removed, hardware reset (15s power switch)... nothing helps 😞
Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks,
Jim

Hi
A 2.2 is BIOS.
I counted 3 blinks.
LED blinks 3 times | Memory | RAM Module failure. | 1 Reseat the memory. NB:- See the Services Media Library for steps for your PC. 2 Check each individual memory module and swap slots. 3 Replace the memory modules causing three blinks or if the blinks follow the slots. 4 Replace the Main-Board. |
3 | MEMORY READ OR WRITE FAILURE |
Caps/Num lock lights = 3 blinks - Memory module error.

Hi
Amber battery light: blinks 1 Hz continuously - Embedded Controller unable to load firmware.
This will not work for everyone, but you may be lucky?
HP Notebooks and Mobile Workstations -
No Power, No Boot, No Display When Power Button Is Pressed
NOTE: Be sure the battery is installed in the computer and it has sufficient power before continuing. Due to the design of the Embedded Controller/Keyboard Controller, the power supply must be disconnected and the computer must be powered with battery power to reset the Embedded Controller/Keyboard Controller.
Unplug the AC power from the computer.
Press and hold the power button for more than 12 seconds.
Release the power button (after at least 12 seconds).
The computer will power on and should boot normally after releasing the power button.
Re-connect the AC power to the computer.
NOTE: In case the battery is not charging after performing the steps to reset the Embedded Controller, unplug and re-plug in the AC power again.

Hi
No, I do not know which piece of embedded firmware is the cause.
""NOTE: Be sure the battery is installed in the computer and it has sufficient power before continuing. I'm guessing here but you do not seem to have powered only with the battery from your replies,
"I tried to disconnect the mainboard battery for a short time. "
"It blinks constantly as long as the power supply is plugged in.
Caps/Num is not blinking at all.."
But if I am wrong, then you may indeed have a faulty Main-Board.
