Hello,
I got my PC early last year and it is working fine. Early this year, I've encountered at least 4x an intermittent unable to charge the laptop and the power white LED did not come up when plugging the charger. By just reconnecting the charger and not doing any tricks, it fix itself and manage to use the laptop again. But 3days ago, the laptop is completely dead. No LED on anywhere of the PC.
This laptop with all the latest updates. System checks where done last Jan2018
I checked all the posted / suggested solutions from this site but to no avail.
>> I checked the charger output with 19.6V present with my DMM,
>> Checked the power connector with cable and white connector connected to the motherboard 15Vand 5V are present.
>> Measured the voltage from battery connector to motherboard 12V and 5V are present.
>> Retried all the steps of hard reboot for non-detacheable battery, still not working.
Can this be the motherboard issue? Can this be subject to the parts replacement eventhough it is out of warranty?
Is there any other way / steps that I need to perform to revive my PC? Or do I need to bring it to HP repair centre?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Thank you for responding,
It's great to have you back 😉
I recommend you Contact HP to have the device repaired or its parts replaced,
As you are right, this seems to be an issue with the motherboard if an alternate adapter doesn't make a difference either.
The part about it being replaced for free is subject to the warranty on your device,
And if there are any class issues that your device is affected with, displaying specific symptoms which the tech will be able to identify and help you accordingly.

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand the HP x360 device is no longer turning on,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Have you attempted to perform a hard reset to resolve the issue?
When was the last time it worked without these issues? Did the issue occur after a recent Bios update?
While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:
The best way to resolve the issue is by using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:
(simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).
FOR DETAILS & FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS, USE THIS LINK: https://hp.care/2Evj4hT
(By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)
Do get back to me as I have a few more tricks up my sleeve,
As I will follow up to ensure your concern is resolved,
That said, If I have helped you resolve the issue,
feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon

I appreciate the answers to my query, however, I'd be more glad to know what the results of the steps I had suggested were,
If you haven't used the links I shared previously, I recommend that you do and get back to me with its result & if you need anything else:

Thank you for replying with this detailed response 😉
I appreciate your time and efforts,
Have you checked if the device turns on with an alternate power cord/adapter?
If not, I recommend you do and if it doesn't power on with an alternate adapter, or you don't have any alternate parts, I recommend you Contact HP to have the device either repaired or replaced:
HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:
* Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
* Enter Product number or select to auto detect
* Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
* Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get a Case & phone number.
They will be happy to assist you immediately.
If the unit is under warranty repair services under the manufacturer's warranty will be free of charge.

Hi, Thanks for the update. yes, I did try another charger to power on my laptop and it is not working. I have mentioned that i measured the charger power on and I got 19.6V. I even measure the power going to the system board and got 5v and 15V. This means that the charger is working good.
Do you think the system board is one of having a manufacturing defect that can be replaced for free as what other bloggers claim from this site?
Cheers
