Hi,
I am having trouble getting into the bios. I've tried reovery with the win logo+B, but password still remains. After 3 attempts it gives me error code (system disabled- i 64061271). I also tried disconnecting main battery and RTC battery and it shows that it will reset but afterwards I press f10 and still asks for password. What else should/could I do??

For that model and ( i ) code you will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.
If you are able to bypass the password and try to boot let me know if your Hard Drive crashed???
Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again !!

Thank you GBL84!
I had a good feeling that was the only way but the extra info about .bin file was great. As for the hard drive, it's just fine. In beginning I get the black screen that says "please install OS" or something like that, and did the test with the program. I just needed to get into BIOS in order to change mode to legacy and turn off secure option...etc. Thanks again bro for replying.
