HP Stream 13-co55sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Update 10pm -I had tried the Windows 10 bootable micro sd in the laptops reader, and it was not powered at startup. I have since tried the card in a USB card reader and has been recognised - currently attempting startup repairs.

This laptop is stuck in a boot loop. On power up the HP logo comes up for a few moments, then the screen goes blank, then it starts over again. I have tried to boot windows 10 from a bootable micro sd card and a bios recovery with Win + B keys. It went through the bios recovery process, but has not fixed the issue. I had been trying to free up some space on the tiny internal hard drive to allow for Windows 10 updates, by copying the Windows folder to an SD card, but I cancelled this process. I also made some chages to the BIOS menu which comes up after pressing esc repeatedly on startup. Pic attached.IMG_20170213_212730.jpg

Hello and thanks for the reply. I actually managed to resolve this issue last night by completing a fresh install of Windows 10 from the MIcreo SD card via the usb card reader.

The Stream notebooks cannot boot from the SD slot, only from a USB drive which I think you have discovered.  If your installation is not booting from the eMMC drive, you could boot from a recovery USB and restore it or do a fresh installation from a Windows 10 installation USB.
