hp stream laptop 14-cb103ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

the night before i was using my laptop and other then it being a little slow from how much was going on in the background nothing was wrong and i had been able to just leave it for a few hours and turn it back on with little difficulty, but when i tried to turn on my laptop in the morning the screen flashed after i held the power button for about 6 sec, then wouldn't do anything else. the next time i tried turning it on the capslock started blinking 5 and 3 and then repeating every 2 sec. i have checked multiple places and all that comes up is that the bios is taking to long to respond to the embeded controller.

i am wondering if that is true and if there is a way to get the bios to work without having it looked at by professionals, because im a poor guy, and what would be needed to fix it if there is no way to fix it without pulling the bottom off it.

wher i got error info:

The chart recommends reseating the memory and replacing if if no change. If you are still within the 1 yr warranty I would contact HP. If not- the Maintenance and Service Guide shows how to access the memoy.

ok and would data be recoverable because i have lots of stuff that i don't have the ability to cloud save and use on a regular basis. so would it be better to use the warrenty because it hasn't been even half a year or should i try my luck with the guide. beause i would need to beable to deal with it in less then a week if possible

Eureka!!! i fixed the problem. if the laptop is left on unplugged it will eventualy have the battery die then hold power button to make sure it is dead. plug in then hold power for 5 secs. if it doesn't light then something is wrong, and if error lights don't stop then it has an issue with the hardware, or deeper in the firmware/software. at that point open her up or take her in.
