Hello

I setup windows 10 when I bought this laptop and I installed drivers and everything works okay except one thing that when I Hibernate or Shutdown or Restart .. the screen goes black and nothing happens after that the led of power is running and the other led which refer to that something is loading is off. so I have to shutdown it by force by pressing power button for a long time.

but this, as I think, happened because I like geeking and maybe some changes I have made to windows made this problem.

 

This is the only problem as I remember that faced me in windows 10 .... BUT

I wanted to install windows 7 to play some old game that windows 10 can not play it even with Compatibility mode and other solution that I tried from the internet .... AND HERE ARE PROBLEMS COMING:

 

1- some (.sys {I can't remember it) file caused me a blue screen and what fixed it is that I downloaded all drivers that had an exclamation mark in Device Manager.

2- my wireless mouse won't work after installing Bluetooth driver

And now after opening my device from hibernation, I received again blue screen which caused by (dxgkrnl.sys).

 

Man, I feel like I'm in an infinte loop of errors. even hp drivers for windows 10 is better like sound which appears the level of sound when I decrease or increase it from keyboard, also display driver which gives me the level of brightness when changing it from the keyboard

I feel like that laptop is programmed to work well in windows 10 with your drivers !!!! I mean that your drivers optimized only for windows 10 !

 

Honstly, I don't want to repair this latest error(dxgkrnl.sys) as I'm afraid that I will get some new error again.

I think I will go back to windows 10 again !!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for language mistakes and writing like this because I wrote it with angry from all these errors !!

Unfortunately, I can't help you with what is going on with W7 because there is full support for W7 for your notebook.

 

But as for the W10 issue of the "the screen goes black and nothing happens after that the led of power is running and the other led which refer to that something is loading is off. so I have to shutdown it by force by pressing power button for a long time..."

 

I think if you update to the latest version of the Intel Management Engine Interface driver, that will resolve the above issue.

 

This package provides the Intel Management Engine Components Driver for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

Which game?

I would expect that the manufacturer of that game would have updated their software to be compatible with Windows 10 -- Windows 10 has been available for 2 years, and Windows 10 is pre-installed on new computers.  Check the manufacturer's web-site, either for a newer version of the software, or for details on how to make an older version work under Windows 10.

 

Note that Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 7 in January 2020 -- less than 2.5 years away.  At that time, you'll need to install Windows 10.  So, now's the time to "retire" your usage of Windows 7.

 I don't understand what you are saying !!

I appreciate your effort, but I downloaded  Intel Management Engine from  (Paul_Tikkanen's link) and the setup started automatically and completed fine although that found the latest version on my driver's page was
