Hi @Leivon,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP laptop isn't booting up and you're encountering a black screen, you can try these troubleshooting steps.
Check Power Supply:
- Ensure the laptop is plugged into a power source and the power adapter is connected properly. Check if the power light is on.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
- Remove the power adapter and, if possible, remove the battery.
- Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try turning on the laptop.
Check the Display:
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV. If the external display works, the issue may be with your laptop's screen or graphics card.
Perform a BIOS Reset:
- If the laptop turns on but doesn't boot, try a BIOS reset:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Turn it back on and repeatedly press the Esc key (or F10 for some models) to enter the BIOS menu.
- If you can access the BIOS, look for an option to reset to default settings.
Inspect for Hardware Issues:
- If you're comfortable opening your laptop, check for loose connections, especially the RAM and storage.
Check for Error Codes:
- Pay attention to any beeping sounds or LED indicators. They can provide clues about the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
