Try a hard reset

  • Turn on the computer by holding the power button down for 20 full seconds then release.
  • Press the Power button one more time (if necessary) to start the computer.
  • Tap the ESC key about once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash.
  • Press F2 to run diagnostics: (v) 2.6.1.0 or later.

Let me know what happens

I tried what u suggested and nothing happened. I know the fan comes on when I press the power button. I have removed the battery just using plug in.

Disassemble, remove memory, use air duster to clean motherboard. Clean memory sticks.  Put memory back in one a a time and test using that hard reset.
