Probook 450 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Everyone,

I have been using my Hp Probook with minor issues for the past couple of years. These are mostly software problems such as driver error etc. But yesterday night while my probook was plugged in  and the battery was over 50%, it just shutdown. This was a bit weird so I went to power it back up again but the power button did not do anything.

The only sign of life is the led light on the power button is constanly on but faintly.

I have gone to the HP support page and tired the suggested remedies,-

-such as removing the battery, ac plug and holding the power button for 30 sec.turning it on with the ac only.

-Changing the bios battery.

Reseating and moving the ram.

Nothing seams to work, this is Infuriating since I didnt do anything to cause this problem. A laptop should not die all of a sudden with noway of turning it back on.

The other problem I have is that the sticker on the buttom of the laptop is barely readable so I cannot read some character, but from guessing my laptop  is out of warranty.

@CarlCastro

I wish we could help you from here, but we can't. The problem is that we HERE, have no way of diagnosing or repairing hardware problems. And, with the PC not even starting, even HP Tech Support, who have the authority and tools to REMOTE into a PC across the Internet, can not access your PC.

Software failures invariably present with error messages of some kind on the screen, such as No Operating System or No Boot Device. In these cases, reinstalling the OS from media such as DVD or USB fixes the first; rebuilding the boot records using various utilities fixes the second. But any time a laptop simply refuses to turn on, that tend to indicate a serious hardware failure.

Unless you purchased an Extended Warranty, the warranty coverage is only for 12 months. So, based on what you said,

your PC is no longer under warranty.

You will have to contact an HP Repair or Service Center to see if they can examine the PC to determine the cause(s) of the problems, if it can be repaired, and an estimate of the repair costs.

If you live in the U.S., here is a link to the HP Service Repair Centers:

If you live outside the U.S., here is a link to HP Service Centers, by Country/Region: https://support.hp.com/in-en/service-center

Good Luck
