I am trying to get help from HP cc from yesterday, but it seems that HP don't want to help. I have asked for a issue resolve to one of your WhatsApp cc agent but he said remote login service is unusable because of some technical issue and I tried voice support agent but there I had a very worst experience after listening to my issue the person how was addressing my issue promised me a call back in 5 min but I waited for whole day but not got any response. You guys ask SN, name, model every time and waste 15 min in that only. Why don't you just ask the SN and resolve the issue as you have my name model name in your data already as I have already used HP cc service. I Hope now you resolve my simple issue. Please address my issue.

Hi @Vasu28,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you've been facing with your HP Victus 16. I'll do my best to help you with the issue of your laptop turning on automatically after 3 seconds of shutdown.
This issue could be related to various factors such as BIOS settings, power settings, or a hardware malfunction. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Check BIOS Settings
- Enter BIOS/UEFI:
- Restart your laptop and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup.
- Restore BIOS Defaults:
- Once in BIOS, look for an option to restore BIOS settings to their default values. This is usually found under the "Exit" menu or a "Reset to Default" option.
- Save the changes and exit the BIOS setup.
Adjust Power Settings in Windows
- Disable Fast Startup:
- Open Control Panel.
- Go to Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Uncheck Turn on fast startup (recommended).
- Save changes and restart your laptop.
Check for Wake Timers
- Disable Wake Timers:
- Open Control Panel.
- Go to Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
- Click on Change plan settings next to your selected power plan.
- Click on Change advanced power settings.
- Expand Sleep > Allow wake timers.
- Set Allow wake timers to Disable for both On battery and Plugged in.
- Apply the changes and restart your laptop.

Perform a Hard Reset
- Perform a Hard Reset:
- Shut down your laptop.
- Disconnect all external devices and unplug the power adapter.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reconnect the power adapter and turn on your laptop.
Check for Windows Updates and Driver Updates
- Update Windows:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Check for updates and install any available updates.
- Update Drivers:
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP Victus 16.
- Install the drivers and restart your laptop.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
