HP 15-f2000 Laptop PC series (277G5AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My computer stopped working, im getting a light sequence next to the charging port which is a long red light and a short white one. Initially, the laptop doesnt respond at all, i had to remove the battery and press the power button repeatedly. After some attempts I put the battery back and ther fan started but the screen didnt. The issue seems to be in this piece of the photo that its raising a lot of temperature when I finally get it to boot. I wanted to know how should I look for the replacement to buy another oneea4d1ce6-c144-4dd2-97d7-a0e909c4729e.jpeg

Hi @Fedeowen,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The component in your image is a USB and Audio Board (also known as an I/O board or USB daughterboard) for an HP 15-f2000 series laptop. It connects to the motherboard via a ribbon cable and provides USB ports, sometimes additional I/O features, and power delivery connections.

To find a replacement, you should look for:

  1. Part Number:
    • The board in your image has the marking DA0P5DTB8B0, which is likely the PCB number. However, for exact compatibility, look for a spare part number (e.g., "HP Spare XXXXX-XXX") printed on the board itself or in your laptop's service manual.
  2. Laptop Model Compatibility:
    • Search for a USB board for HP 15-f2000 series or use the exact model number of your laptop (e.g., HP 15-f233wm, HP 15-f271wm, etc.).
  3. Online Marketplaces:
    • eBay, Amazon, Aliexpress, and laptop parts stores often sell these boards.
    • Search using terms like:
      • HP 15-f2000 USB Board DA0P5DTB8B0 Replacement
      • HP 15-f233wm USB I/O Board

Heat Issue & Troubleshooting

  • If this board is overheating, it may indicate:
    • A short circuit or burnt capacitor on the board.
    • A faulty connection or damaged ribbon cable.
    • A motherboard issue sending excessive voltage.
  • If possible, inspect for burn marks or damaged components on the board before replacing it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
