Hi, I'm facing an issue with my PC (HP Victus 15 FA1099-NE). It suddenly turned off while I was using it and now it won't turn on. The power light doesn't work when plugged in either. I checked the adapter with another laptop and it's working fine, so the adapter isn't the issue. Can you please help me with this?

Hi @subashadhikari,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Victus 15 FA1099-NE suddenly turned off and now won’t turn on, with the power light not working even when plugged in, it suggests a potential issue with the laptop’s hardware or internal components. Here’s a detailed troubleshooting guide to help you identify and possibly resolve the issue:
1. Perform a Hard Reset
Turn Off and Unplug:
- Ensure the laptop is completely off. Disconnect it from the power source and remove any connected peripherals (USB devices, external drives, etc.).
Remove the Battery (if removable):
- If your laptop has a removable battery, take it out.
Drain Residual Power:
- Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge any remaining power in the laptop.
Reconnect and Power On:
- Reinsert the battery (if you removed it) and plug the laptop back into the power source. Press the power button to see if it turns on.
2. Check Power Supply and Adapter
Verify Power Adapter Connection:
- Make sure the power adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and the power outlet.
Test the Adapter:
- You mentioned testing the adapter with another laptop, but double-check that it is delivering the correct voltage for your HP Victus.
Inspect Power Port:
- Check the power port on the laptop for any signs of damage or loose connections.
3. Inspect Internal Components
Remove and Reinstall RAM:
- Power off the laptop and disconnect it from the power source. If you are comfortable doing so, open the laptop’s back panel (refer to your laptop’s manual for instructions).
- Locate the RAM modules and gently reseat them in their slots. Ensure they are properly connected.
Check for Loose Cables:
- While you have the laptop open, check for any loose internal cables or connections, particularly around the power button and motherboard.
4. Perform a BIOS Reset
- Reset BIOS (if accessible):
- If the laptop shows any signs of life (like LED lights blinking), try to access the BIOS setup by pressing the appropriate key (usually Esc, F2, F10, or Del) immediately after powering on.
- Look for an option to Load Setup Defaults or Reset to Default and apply it.
5. Perform a Power Reset
Disconnect All Peripherals:
- Ensure all external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.) are disconnected.
Try Powering On:
- Press and hold the power button for about 10-15 seconds, then release it and press it again to see if the laptop turns on.
6. Examine for Physical Damage
Check for Physical Damage:
- Inspect the laptop for any signs of physical damage, such as a cracked screen or damaged casing.
Check Battery Health (if removable):
- If your battery is removable, try powering on the laptop with the battery removed and only connected to the AC adapter.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi, I followed all the troubleshooting steps provided, but unfortunately, my HP Victus 15 still won’t power on, and the charging indicator isn’t showing. The laptop is under warranty, but the nearest authorized service center is quite far from my location. Could you please advise on the next steps or any possible remote solutions?

Hi @subashadhikari,
I am afraid, this is a hardware issue, which might need service. Kindly check with the service center for further assistance.
