I am not sure how to startup my notebook using a USB drive that has a Win PE boot on it created by another software Backup and Recovery called "EaseUS Todo Backup".

I created the USB drive and I just want to test it out.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi:

You may have to try this two different ways.

Models differ.

Try this first...

Plug the USB flash drive in a USB port.

Turn on or restart the PC.

Tap the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that, select the USB flash drive, and press the Enter key.

The PC should then boot from the USB flash drive.

If that doesn't work, turn on or restart the PC.

Tap the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen to get the menu of options.

Select the F10 system setup option and press the enter key.

Enable the legacy mode setting and disable secure boot in the BIOS.

Save the settings and exit.

Restart the PC and tap the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that, select the Legacy USB diskette on key/USB flash drive, and press the Enter key.

Hopefully, the PC will boot from the flash drive that way.
