Hi there.

I am migrating OS from HDD to SSD, using Macrium Reflect 7. Everything ok so far until when i try to set SSD as primary boot drive in BIOS. For you note, Kingston (SSD), Toshiba (Current main drive)

Under UEFI Boot Order --> OS Boot Manager, originally was Windows Boot Manager (Toshiba), which is the default. So using F5/F6, i move it down, and put Windows Boot Manager (Kingston) above. Then i saved the changes.

But the laptop not booting from the SSD still. It loads from Toshiba Hardrive. What should i do then? How can i set SSD as the main/ bootable drive? How can i disable Toshiba Hardrive from boot? Many times i tried to change and saved the changes, but nothing happen. Please help

@Thibroni,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Do you have the operating system on both the hard drives?

I recommend you connect only the SSD and then try booting and check whether you are able to boot to Windows.

If you have an operating system on both the hard drives even that can cause issues booting from the SSD.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
