Hi @cb86 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Product. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To activate and hold the Num Lock on your HP 15-dy0000 Laptop PC (54W89AV) running Windows 11, follow these steps:
1. Activate Num Lock:
- Press the Num Lock key: On most laptops, you can activate the numeric keypad by pressing the Num Lock key, often labeled as NumLk or Num Lock. It might be combined with another function key, so you may need to press Fn + NumLk simultaneously.
Enable Fast Startup:
- Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Go to System > Power & sleep > Additional power settings.
- Click on Choose what the power buttons do on the left side.
- Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Ensure that Turn on fast startup (recommended) is checked, and save your changes.
2. Check BIOS Settings (Optional):
If the above steps don’t work, you can check the BIOS settings to ensure that Num Lock is enabled on startup:
- Restart your laptop and press Esc, F10, or Del (depending on your model) to enter the BIOS setup.
- Look for an option related to Num Lock, typically under the Advanced or Boot section, and make sure it is enabled.
- Save the changes and exit the BIOS.
