I bought a HP Omen 15 (2016) a few weeks ago. Today, I have Crucial MX300 250GB M.2 SSD that I want to install in the laptop. The problem is the M.2 SSD does not show up on boot. I try to access BIOS to follow directions on forums, but there is no advanced boot setting.
How do I boot Windows 10 from M.2 SSD? My computer can detect it as a storage device after setting it up on Disk Manager, but I can't boot from it.
BIOS: InsydeH20 F.23

Hi @Kami-sama
Welcome to the HP Forums!
This is a wonderful place to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.
I understand that you have installed a new SSD and boot from it.
I’d love to help!
Please follow the steps below to see the SSD in boot options.
- Boot to bios and go to boot options
- Disable secure boot and enable legacy support
- Save the changes and restart the computer.
Now when you start the computer and go to boot options by pressing F9 you should see the SSD there.
Follow the link below for enabling the legacy support.
Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you.
Good day! Take care 🙂
Cheers!
