HP Stream Laptop

Hi,

I was at an auction and bought some boxes of stuff and to my surprise, there was an HP Stream Laptop model number 11-ah131nr. The cord was there so when I returned home I plugged it in and let it charge, and when I went to turn it on is when the fun began. When it powers on you get a blue screen with a box in the center asking for "Enter Administrator Password or Power on Password". I have tried doing the F8, F12 and holding the shift button while doing power on but I get the same thing with everything I try, I thank you all in advance for any help before I need to take the back off and do a CMOS jump.

Hello,

Unfortunately, the HP support community does not allow us to help you with your BIOS password.  The only solution is to contact HP and, if necessary, contact them several times to complete your case.

Rules of Participation No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.

I recommend that you get on Contact HP from your country or region.

The only solution HP will propose is to replace the system board to solve the BIOS password problem requested at computer startup.
For more information, please go to Forgotten or Lost BIOS Password.

Please do not hesitate to contact us in case of need.

Best regards,
