I have my personal HP laptop closed on my desk and connected to a hub (Lenovo).

To start my HP laptop I have to open the lid and press the start button.

My Lenovo work laptop starts up when I press the button on the hub.

Is this just manufacturer incompatibility, or is there a setting in the BIOS or something?

Thanks!

Are they compatible ? If yes, you can power on the dock and it will power on the machine, when you shut down the machine, it will turn off the dock . If not, they are NOT compatible.

Regards.

Hi BH,

yes, it seems they are not compatible.

But maybe they are not properly configured?

I was asking to see whether there are any settings that could influence the compatibility.
